Ozaukee County and Wisconsin State Fairs

We decided to check out the Ozaukee County Fair in Cedarburg.  It was a pretty small and simple fair, but just perfect for us.  We took Chloe to see all of the farm animals and she seemed to like them for the most part.  We also indulged in some good fair food like corn dogs and cheese curds.

All of the sheep started “baaing” at the same time and freaked Chloe out pretty good.  I think she was a little overwhelmed.  (07/28/2010)

Chloe seemed to enjoy the rabbit area.  Since Mommy grew up with rabbits, we thought it was only appropriate to get a picture by some.  (07/28/2010)

Our friend, Lisa, and her daughter came over to visit and we all went to the Wisconsin State Fair.  Again, we looked at a bunch of animals and had a really good time.

We stopped to take a break and to eat some snacks and decided it was a good time for a photo op.  (08/05/2010)

Chloe’s Fourth Month

During Chloe’s fourth month of life she started becoming much more active and because of that, we took lots of pictures and video.

Here is a picture of Chloe on her 3 month birthday.  (06/22/2010)

This is a picture of Chloe sucking her thumb for the first time.  She doesn’t use her thumb as a paci very often, but she knows it exists!  (06/23/2010)

We took a walk outside around the yard because the weather was so nice.  (06/26/2010)

Chloe found her voice for the first time.  Hearing her talk was so exciting.  (06/26/2010)

We decided it was a nice evening to grill out.  Chloe is mesmerized by the fire.  (06/27/2010)

Here is Chloe talking again, but this time to her play gym.  (06/27/2010)

Chloe started to laugh when she was about 3.5 months old.  Here is one of her most hysterical laughing fits.  We were at Qdoba with Vince and Ava and Vince started shaking his ice filled cup and she went crazy!  (07/13/2010)

Chloe really loves to be bounced.  Here are a video of Dad bouncing Chloe.  (07/14/2010)

We bought a Jumperoo for Chloe because she started to be more active.  She really enjoys it!  (07/15/2010)

Chloe Meets Her Friend Cooper

We met some friends, Ben and Jen, at our birthing class and started hanging out.  We met up in July for the first time since our babies were born.

Here are Cooper and Chloe hanging out on the floor.  (07/10/2010)

Here is a picture of Ben, Cooper, Chloe and Kristen.  Chloe enjoyed meeting her new friend.  (07/10/2010)

Fourth of July

We spent the Fourth of July weekend with Vince, Ava and the Enwalds at Ava’s parents’ cabin. We had a good time relaxing in the cabin and on the boat on Lake Petenwell.

Before we left for the boat trip, Chloe practiced her talking skills.  (07/03/2010)

This was Chloe’s first time in the water other than a bath.  We bought a little floatie for Chloe to have fun with, but she didn’t seem to care for the relatively chilly water.  (07/03/2010)

Chloe felt more relaxed chilling with Mom on the boat.  (07/03/2010)

Chloe’s Shower

Kristen’s aunts were kind enough to throw a shower in honor of Chloe.  It was nice for everyone to be able to meet her.

This is just one of the many cute outfits that Chloe was given that day.  (06/19/2010)

Chloe and Great Grandma Meet for the First Time

We took a trip up north to visit Great Grandma Delano so that she could meet Chloe.  Great Grandma seemed to have a really fun time with her.  (06/12/2010)

Chloe’s Third Month

Chloe hit some big milestones this month.  She started sucking her hand, rolling over and cooing/baby talking.  Thankfully, she also started sleeping for long stretches at night!  We also purchased nursery furniture and moved her into her own bedroom.

Moving Day

In May we moved out of our condo in downtown Milwaukee to a house between West Bend, Saukville, Grafton and Cedarburg.  We decided that a one bedroom condo wouldn’t suffice when Chloe gets older so having three bedrooms with a decent amount of land is a very nice change.

We were lucky enough to have Andy’s parents and brother come down to help along with some of our friends.  (05/15/2010)

Here we are relaxing after a long moving day.  Thanks to Nate, we all had a cigar to officially celebrate Chloe’s birth.  (05/15/2010)

Chloe’s Second Month

During Chloe’s second month of life we got settled into family life and were having a great time playing with and holding her.  She was still trying to get rid of jaundice so we had to wake up several times during the night to feed her, but other than that, things went very well.  The jaundice went away after about 1.5 months which is why she is starting to look less yellow in the pictures.  One big milestone that Chloe met when she was about 1.5 months old was smiling.  She first smiled during diaper changes and then eventually she smiled at many more things.  It was nice to see that she is such a happy baby.

These are pictures of Chloe on her 1 month birthday.  Being a birthday girl is hard work!  (04/22/2010)

Here is a Chloe in her bear suit.  It was way too big for her, but we knew when she was old enough to fit into it, it wouldn’t be cold out so we had to make sure we used it now.  (04/27/2010)

We ended up accepting offers on both our condo and the house we wanted to buy.  We knew we were in for a busy couple weeks of packing, so we invested in a swing for Chloe to entertain her while we were busy.  She liked it at first, but after a while she figured out she wasn’t being held.  (05/08/2010)

Making the Switch to Cloth Diapers

We did some math and realized just how much money you can blow on disposable diapers.  We decided to try cloth diapers when Chloe was about a month old.  Cloth diapers have come a long way since our moms used them on us… here is Chloe on the first day she wore them.  (04/19/2010)

It was a little bulky on her, but she has since grown into them.  Andy’s parents coined the term “bowling ball butt” which, as you can see, is an accurate description!
